Itero Scanner
Digital impressions for restorations and Invisalign
The iTero scanner digitally captures the structure of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology. The scanner is a compact, hand-held wand. Once your dentist begins the scanning process, it can be stopped and started as many times as necessary.
Your mouth is scanned with a radiation-free laser and, in as little as two to three minutes, the laser renders a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue structures. Through digital software, you’ll then be able to follow the progress of the scans, including a 3D model of your teeth on our computer screen. The iTero scanner can be used for any restorative treatment including crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays, bridges, and implants, as well as orthodontic treatments like Invisalign®.
CEREC
Same day crowns
CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a dentistry innovation that uses CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) technology to manufacture custom-made ceramic crowns and other restorations. CEREC® eliminates the inconvenience of multiple appointments and messy dental impressions, while achieving complete tooth restoration in a single visit.
Your appointment will begin with an examination of your tooth to confirm your candidacy for a tooth crown. Next, we will prepare your tooth for the digital impression by removing any damaged or decayed tissue. The digital impression of your tooth is captured and then submitted to our in-house milling machine. This machine will analyze the data from your tooth and instantly begin crafting your crown from a block of porcelain, chosen to match the color of your teeth.
Once your crown is ready, the fit of the crown has been verified, and any necessary adjustments have been made, the crown can then be bonded to your tooth. Traditionally, a temporary crown would be affixed to your tooth for two weeks while you wait for your crown to be fabricated off-site. However, with CEREC® same-day crowns, patients can leave our office not only with a more natural-looking smile, but also improved oral health and comfort.

Hard/soft tissue laser
This precise dental laser is used in many treatment situations that previously called for traditional surgery, and can perform the same procedures in less time with much less bleeding and discomfort for the patient. This dental technology is often used when treating gum disease.
There are two different types of laser dentistry: hard tissue and soft tissue. Hard tissue includes treatments such as cavity detection, contouring bone, dental fillings, and tooth sensitivity improvements. Soft tissue treatments include gum reshaping, gum surgery, and tissue removal..
Intraoral photos
Intra-oral photos are photos that are taken of your teeth, gums and oral tissue. These photos may be of a single tooth, a group of teeth, or any area of your mouth. At our office, photos are taken with a small, high quality digital camera that moves comfortably within your mouth.
